FIGHTLABEL. Founded by Sophie Whittam in 2014, is a design venture born out of Sheffield; designing the most original and unique outfits for the World’s elite fighting superstars. An impressive clientele list, attracting the likes of Canelo, Floyd Mayweather, Anthony Joshua, GGG, to name a few, alongside making the fight wardrobe for the Creed movies. The new era of boxing brings exciting talent including Shakur Stevenson, Ben Whittaker, Teofimo Lopez and more who are all making their mark in FIGHTLABEL.

Recognised as the leading brand in luxury fightwear, our work has been worn on the global stage and Hollywood screen, also immortalised in the Boxing Hall of Fame with our iconic 24 carat gold robe for Amir Khan. Working historic events such as Mayweather vs McGregor, Joshua vs Klitschko and Canelo vs GGG are testimony to the level of our workmanship. Our in-house design studio prides itself on a combined 90+ years of tailoring experience, something rare and beautiful.

The brand continues to grow, imminently launching a capsule ready-to-wear collection of elevated pieces to retail, aimed at the fashion focused, style savvy individual – not just professional athletes. A nod to the luxury and exuberance of our custom fightwear, the ready-to-wear collection takes modern staples, enlivened with the FIGHTLABEL touch.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Sophie Whittam

Born and raised in a creative household, Sophie Whittam spent much of her childhood on the ice training as a competitive figure skater. Her passion for design led her to fashion college where she studied her craft and learnt the skills to shape the basis of her career. Excelling here, Sophie hung up her competitive skates and dreamt of making figure skating costumes for her comrades and Olympic level athletes.

Whilst working as a designer for a renowned evening wear label in the UK and frequent business trips to China, her side line business of costume making began to take hold. The originality of her designs rocked the figure skating world, changing the game and modernised a very traditional world. Fast forward to 2014; after dabbling with the boxing ring girl outfits which led to a chance meeting with Amir Khan and FIGHTLABEL exploded onto the boxing scene with the world’s most expensive 24 carat gold boxing shorts.

Within 6 months FIGHTLABEL established itself as the luxury label in couture fight wear and the world’s elite fighters were lining up for custom fits. Sophie is driven by the desire to create statement pieces, opulent looks that make every fighter feel empowered and ready to step into the ring in style. FIGHTLABEL is for those athletes who dare to be different and looking to create their legacy in iconic fits.
